ADDA MEDIA REVIEWS
PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY
"Romance writer Leigh (Blackheart) makes her debut in the Christian
market with this tale based at least partly on her life experience.
Adda Sinclaire is a bestselling romance novelist with a case of writer's
block and a lingering interest in Christianity. Like most chick-lit
heroines, she has a knack for ridiculous situations, whether that's
pulling out a clump of her nemesis's hair or sticking her tongue out at
a good-looking guy across a restaurant (who turns out to be the publisher trying to acquire her next book).
If at times unbelievable, the plot moves quickly and will draw readers in.
"Nick, the good-looking
publisher, becomes Adda's love interest (although technically their
relationship is "strictly business"). Stick Woman, her nemesis, accuses
Adda of plagiarizing one of her books, forcing Adda into hiding.
Add a dose of family conflict, an insistent would-be lover, and a supporting
cast of several characters who happen to be Christian, and you have the
makings of compelling inspirational romance. Traditional romance readers
may also be attracted to this title. Adda's investigation of Christianity, if a bit forced, plays a supporting role, and readers are
never browbeaten. And if the conclusion is primarily about the
improvement of Adda's character, Leigh also fulfills her readers'
expectations of the romance genre."

"Chick
lit readers will appreciate this fine look at an author
struggling with stress caused by deadlines and writer's block.
Adda's asides about her nemesis, her ex, her publisher, and
ultimately Jesus, showcase her metamorphosis from a prideful
soul into a caring believer. Overall rating: 10 out
of 10."

ROAD
TO ROMANCE
"Romance novelist Adda Sinclaire has topped the New York Times best-seller list and is about to enter a bidding war between publishers.
This coup will garner a seven figure contract, she’s sure.
Aware of her success, Adda’s attitude shows. When she meets the soon-to-be boss, however, she’s in for a surprise.
He’s definitely hands on when it comes to publishing. Will he be that way out of the office?
"Nick Farnsworth has been burned by a bad marriage and is not in the market for love.
His publishing career and beautiful daughter occupy his life. B
ut there’s something special about Adda Sinclaire. Something that gets under his skin.
Adda’s integrity is brought into question on more than one occasion.
And, since her reputation precedes her, doubts certainly arise in Nick’s mind. He backs off; he doesn’t need what Adda is sure to bring.
"But Adda is given a small leather bound book, the Bible, and finds it intriguing.
Her investigation of its pages leads her on a life-changing journey.
Would the trip include Nick? Tamara Leigh has given the reader a glimpse of an author’s life: deadlines, writer’s block and chipped nails -- not all glamour.
The quirky Adda has her share of surprises as God pursues her in
this well-written romance."

CRAIGHART.NET
Best-selling romance novelist Adda Sinclaire is fighting
writer's block, an insistent suitor, and an ever-growing attraction to her new editor,
Nick Farnsworth. While contending with her arch enemy, Birgitta Roth (aka
Stick Woman), Adda also begins reading through a New Testament, given to
her by a well-meaning Southern Baptist. Although intriguing, the Bible
also seems to awaken a rather inconvenient sense of conscience.
To make matters worse, Stick Woman accuses Adda of plagiarizing one of her books
and Adda finds herself the target of a media firestorm.
Okay, you got me.
I loved this book. I was, in fact, hooked from the first page.
Stealing Adda is one of the most engaging novels I have read in
some time and had me from the beginning with the first person viewpoint,
the snappy narrative, and the irreverent humor. Writing a book in first
person can be tricky, since the lead has to be entertaining enough to make
readers hang around for several hundred pages. Stealing Adda
accomplishes this with ease. The main character, Adda Sinclaire, makes us
care, perhaps because she has a little bit of each of us in her, and we
gladly share in her trials and triumphs.
Stealing Adda
is highly recommended. Five stars!

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
In Christian Chick Lit, God Trumps Sex, Booze: "Start
with your average chick lit novel. Then remove the sex, booze,
cigarettes and tangled remains of old relationships. Then add
God.
"Christian chick lit is, I suppose, an idea whose time has come.
There is a certain wisdom, demographically speaking, in
publishing books that will appeal to women of faith: an echo of
the enormously popular "Left Behind" series, but with cute shoes
and nail polish.
"Mainstream romance author Tamara Leigh's first foray into the
Christian chick lit market, Stealing Adda (NavPress, 464 pages,
$12.99), seems poised to push this odd little subgenre into
mass-market consciousness..."

CHRISTIAN BOOK PREVIEWS
In Stealing Adda, author Tamara Leigh introduces us to Adda
Sinclaire, a historical romance author who frequently tops the
New York Times best seller list. For Adda, life's "workout" only
begins with her personal trainer! She's facing down a serious
case of writer's block, while simultaneously finding herself
hopelessly attracted to a man who's impossible to understand,
and, on top of all that, her lacquered nails need another fresh
coat of polish. Witty and originally written with clever inner
monologue, the story of Adda's progression to discovering God is
not sappy, stretched, or overdone. Full of wonderful character
development and a plot spiced with some fun twists, Stealing
Adda is tasteful and leaves the reader wanting more.
I was skeptical at the beginning, but found myself charmed as
the page numbers flew by. This book would be a plus for any
library. A refreshing antidote to the typical romance novel,
Leigh's latest novel avoids the trap of running readers from one
kiss to the next and really focuses on Adda's rather humorous
struggle in the pursuit of truth, both for her writings and for
her life.

"What I enjoyed most about this novel is that Adda is
such a relatable character. While her exploits and foibles are
engaging and often hysterical reading, they are never over the

GLASS ROAD
"In a scandal worthy of Oprah's couch, author Tamara Leigh spins a tale of deception, betrayal, and utter hilarity in her contemporary novel
Stealing Adda. A multi-published novelist herself, Leigh is intimately familiar with the world of romance publishing. Poking fun at the cat-fighting, name-calling, and duplicity inherent in the publishing world is second nature to this fun-loving author.
"In the vein of
Lipstick Jungle and The Nanny Diaries, Leigh provides an insider's glimpse into the world of publishing. The pressure to be a bestseller, the dread of writer's block, and the elusive six-figure advance - it's all here in sharp, witty form. This novel is certain to be on every writer's bedside table."
